MediaGeekz is a video production and creative agency based in Orlando, Florida. This policy covers our website at mediageekz.com, the MediaGeekz client portal, the MediaGeekz Portal iOS app, and the MediaGeekz Prompter iOS app.

Account information

When you have a client portal account, we store your email address, your name if you give it to us, and a cryptographic hash of your password. We never store your password itself and cannot recover it.

Project files

Files in your portal workspace — footage, photos, documents, and deliverables — are stored on our behalf by Cloudflare R2. We keep a record of each file's name, size, type, and upload time so the portal can list and serve it. Files are scoped to your workspace and access is checked on every request.

Enquiries and quotes

When you submit a contact form, quote request, or intake form, we collect what you send us — typically name, email, phone number, and details about your project.

Website analytics

On mediageekz.com we use Vercel Analytics, Google Analytics, and the Meta Pixel to understand how people find and use the site, and to measure our advertising. These collect usage data such as pages viewed, approximate location, referrer, and device type.

The MediaGeekz Portal app does not include these trackers. The app collects no advertising or cross-site analytics data, and does not track you across other companies' apps or websites.

Push notifications

If you enable notifications in the app, we store a device token so we can tell you when new files land in your workspace. The token identifies a device, not you personally, and you can turn notifications off at any time in iOS Settings.

MediaGeekz Prompter is a teleprompter. It is built so that nothing you write or record ever leaves your device. There is no account, no sign-in, and no MediaGeekz server behind it. The app works with no network connection at all.

Your scripts

Scripts you write or paste are stored only in the app's own storage on your device. We never receive them, and they are removed when you delete the script or uninstall the app.

Camera and microphone

If you turn on the camera, the preview is shown behind your script on your device only. If you also turn on recording, the app uses the camera and microphone to record your take and saves the video file into the app's folder on your device. Recordings are never uploaded to us or to anyone else. A take leaves your device only if you choose to send it somewhere yourself using the iOS share sheet.

iOS asks your permission before the camera or microphone is used the first time, and you can revoke it at any time in iOS Settings. The app requests the microphone only while recording is switched on.

MediaGeekz Prompter collects no data at all. No analytics, no advertising identifiers, no crash reporting, no tracking across other companies' apps or websites, and no account to tie anything to.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not sell or license your project files, and we do not use your footage for marketing without your explicit permission.

We use a small number of service providers to operate. Each receives only what it needs to do its job:

• Cloudflare R2 — stores your project files
• Railway — hosts our database
• Vercel — hosts and serves our website
• Resend — sends transactional email such as invites
• Stripe and Square — process payments. Card details go to them directly; we never see or store your card number.
• Google and Meta — website analytics and advertising measurement, on mediageekz.com only

We may also disclose information where the law requires it.

The portal can generate links that let someone view or download files without signing in. File share links expire after 14 days and delivery portal links expire after 30 days. Anyone holding an unexpired link can open what it points to, so treat these links as sensitive and only send them to people who should have the files.

We keep project files for as long as your workspace is active, so you can come back to your deliverables. We keep account records while your account exists, and enquiry records for as long as we need them for our business and tax obligations.

Ask us to delete your account or your files at any time and we will, except where we are legally required to keep a record.

Traffic is encrypted in transit with HTTPS. Passwords are hashed with bcrypt. Portal sessions are signed tokens, and file access is authorised on every request against your workspace membership. Share and invite tokens are stored only as hashes, so a database leak cannot be turned back into working links.

No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security — but we design to fail closed rather than open.

• Opt out of analytics using your browser's privacy settings or an ad blocker

Our services are for businesses and are not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Project footage may feature minors when a client has commissioned it and secured the appropriate releases; that footage is handled as the client's project material under this policy.

If we change this policy we will update the effective date above. Material changes affecting portal clients will be sent by email.
